HMC Gear & Conventions

Harvard Mountaineering Club Equipment Guide
Gear

Gear is generally labeled with its respective code in sharpie or on a printed white label. Alternatively, our gear will just say "HMC" or have a red, red and black tape or nail polish mark. Gears with ID that start with an underscore _ do not have markings on them. Tents with IDs that end with an asterisk * are extreme weather tents.

We offer the following types of gear, as well as some additional ones (e.g. microspikes, gaiters, headlamps, slings, etc.) by request: Avy Probes, Backpacks, Belay Devices, Boots, Bouldering Pads, Cams, Carabiners, Crampons, Haul Bags, Harnesses, Helmets, Ice Axes, Ice Saws, Ice Shovels, Ice Tools, Quickdraws, Ropes, Skis, Sleeping Bags, Sleeping Pads, Snowshoes, Tents, Trad Rack.

  • Rental Process

Any logged in user can submit a rental request, but the request will only be approved by Board Members after our weekly club meeting on Thursday evening. The user must be available then to pick up the gear.
